Terms & Conditions

When purchasing goods, you enter into a legally binding contract with the seller. It is our duty to make you aware of the conditions you are accepting when you place an order. There's also some useful information on this page too!

Your Rights:

Talent Cricket is a UK based company and complies with UK consumer law including the Distance Selling Regulations. This means that when shopping with us you won't get ripped off, you'll get your equipment as quickly as possible, and we'll sort out any problems you may have. Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

International Orders:
Our website has a built in IP address recognition system which automatically detects your country and displays prices with or without Value Added Tax depending on your location. So, customers located outside the European Union, living in the Channel Islands or other tax-free areas will have prices displayed without VAT and billed as such. Please check the country shown on the website matches your geographic location.

For the majority of international countries it will be necessary for us to provide a manual shipping quotation. For a shipping quotation complete your order via the checkout process as normal and your order will be saved for us to review. You will then receive an email with the final amount due. To pay for the order, login to your customer account and click on Pending Orders, then click the Pay Now button alongside the order you wish to pay for. You will then be able to pay for the order as normal using our secure CardSave payment processing system.

Please note that we are only able to accept payments in GBP, but if you wish to check an approximate price in your country's currency you can do so at: www.exchange-rates.org

Please note: Customers living outside the EEC (European Economic Community) may have import fees and/or taxes added to their deliveries by you country's customs office when entering the destination country - this is why we remove UK sales tax of 20% for all orders that are sent to outside the EEC.

We do not have any control over these fees and are not legally responsible for them. It is the responsibility of the customer to research into any fees that may be charged and pay these on arrival. You will be able to find information about this on your country's government website. In some cases they may take weeks or months to be billed for these, but usually after 2-3 weeks it is safe to assume that your order has not been subjected to any import fees. As always, if you would like any help with looking into this please don't hesitate to contact us.
Overseas orders are either sent by Royal Mail (small items), or an International Courier for larger items (usually UPS).
As always, if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us

Returns information (All products):

Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel an order and return any goods that may already have been dispatched for up to 7 days from receipt date. You do not have to give any specific reason for the return of such goods, even if you've ordered the wrong thing or you simply don't like what you've ordered that's fine! We offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to accept items back for a refund or exchange if they're not what you expected.

Our 'late' returns policy allows 28 days, this is over and above what the law requires us to offer, however we reserve the right to levy a charge of 10% of the total value of the goods returned if the 7 day deadline is passed. It's rare that we enforce this though, and often take items back even 6 months or more after purchase date - just give us a call and we'll do what we can to help out. All 'late' returns are still subject to the other terms detailed in our returns policy:

- Goods must be in original packaging, and saleable as new items.
- Goods must not be modified or personalised.
- We are not able to refund postage and packaging charges, both from and to ourselves, under any circumstances excepting a mistake on our part (such as posting you an incorrect item).

Return of: New items
If you do need to send your items back, please contact us first to ensure that your return is dealt with as quickly as possible. We recommend using a recorded service when you send items back as it requires a signature on arrival.

Return of: Custom Made Cricket Bats
When we make a custom made cricket bat for you, it is made specifically for you, and to your exact specification. This means that we are not obliged to accept back custom made items for a refund or exchange. Custom made cricket bats will be accepted back but a GBP20 (twenty pounds) per bat charge will be levied on an exchange or refund, to cover the postage, and the time and effort absorbed in creating the cricket bat.

A Note About Damaged/Cracked Cricket Bats
A very small percentage of bats sold are liable to crack under the massive stresses which take place when the ball hits the willow. This is why it is very important that your should take care when playing with your bat for the first time, you MUST ensure you have knocked in your bat, especially on the sides and on the bottom. Even if a bat is described as ready-to-play you should take care when using it in its infancy....(It is usual for a cricket bat to have many minor cracks in the face.)
Unfortunately we do receive bats back from customers who have mis-treated their bat, and if the manufacturer recognises this, they will return the bat to the customer untouched.  If a bat is returned to us and the manufacturer agrees there is a fault with the bat, they will then either fix or replace the damaged bat. Returns can take up to 4 weeks to repair or replace. I'm afraid that we are unable to refund any postage costs for products sent overseas, but will refund the postage back to us for a faulty cricket bat. If you do feel your bat has cracked or split and that there is a flaw with the willow, please return it to the address below with a note explaining what happened.  If the bat is over 12 months old, you will have little or no case for replacement. Refunding of a damaged/cracked cricket bat will ultimately be at ours and the manufacturers discretion and is completely dependant on the type and degree of damage.

Return of: New items returned because we have posted you the wrong part
Believe it or not we do make mistakes on the odd occasion! If we have sent you some equipment which is different to what is listed on your invoice we will be more than happy to make an exchange and pay your Second Class Recorded postage (or Standard Parcels for larger items) costs for returning the item. If you wish to use a faster service to return the items that is no problem, although we will only re-imburse you for the amount a 2nd Class/Standard Parcels delivery would cost.

In the rare case that any of the items in your order are incorrect, missing or damaged:

Firstly, please accept our apologies! We ask that you, the customer, informs Talent Cricket of any mistakes within three working days of receiving the order. If you do not contact us within this time then we will assume that everything on your order is correct.

Any externally damaged packages must be signed as 'Damaged' with the carrier upon delivery; failure to do so will greatly reduce the chances of any successful claim for loss or damage against our delivery companies
All returns should be made to the following address:

As always, if you have any questions or comments, or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Accuracy of information:
We put a lot of time and effort into describing and photographing the products we sell. Although we aim for every picture and description to be 100% accurate, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that isn't correct. If you have purchased something based on a picture or description on the website which turns out to be incorrect we will be happy to replace or refund the product (unused, subject to our refunds policy).

We reserve the right to make changes to our terms and conditions at any time. These will be posted on this page for you to see.
