The answers to some frequently asked questions.
- Why should I knock my bat in?
Correctly knocking in and oiling your bat will allow it to perform better and give it the best odds of a long life.

- How do you knock your bats in?
We knock all our bats in by hand using a lignum vitae mallet.

- How many grains should a bat have?
There are no set rules when it comes to bat grains and their effect on performance. My personal opinion is that the more grain, the better the performance but the less durability. Bats with wider grains may not play quite as well but they do seem to last longer. A bat with 7-8 straight grains is a good compromise!

- Is Cricket equipment the only sport that you stock?
Yes, we dedicate ourselves to Cricket 12 months of the year, and stay up to date with the changing trends and innovations within the sport.

- How long have Talent Cricket been in business for?
We started out in 1992, so this is our 16th year.

- Do you sponsor players?
We leave this to the manufacturers to decide who they are going to sponsor.

- Have you had any famous customers?
Yes, over the years we have had Jonathan Agnew, David Wigley, Steffan Jones, Reon King, Jimmy Adams, Monty Panesar and Darren Maddy to name a few, plus Rugby stars Andy Goode, Sam Vesty and John Wells.

- Do your play Cricket yourselves?
Yes, Paul has played and captained Leicestershire young Cricketers and played County 2nd XI Cricket, and board Cricket for Leicestershire. He still plays in the Leicestershire County league.
Stuart retired from playing 4 years ago, but during his career played County 2nd XI cricket for Leicestershire finishing with the Leicestershire over 50's. Stuart played club Cricket in Leicestershire for almost 40 years.
Our other staff all play Cricket and are as passionate about the game as ourselves. You are always assured of enthusiastic Cricket chat and advice at all times.

- Are all of your products listed in stock?
We are able to complete and dispatch 94% of our orders within 4 days, so yes nearly all of the time we have our products listed on the website in stock. If for any reason we don't you will be contacted within 24 hours to discuss alternative options, waiting for the item/s to come into stock, or cancelling the order.
